Send a neighborhood update with AI, for real estate agents

Writing a friendly neighborhood check-in for past clients usually means staring at MLS printouts and a blank screen. AI reads the recent home sales and drafts a quick, personal note you can review and send.

What to gather first

Which app

For this one, a plain AI chat window is enough: ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. Open the chat, paste what you gathered, and type the message below. First time? Read how to talk to an AI.

How to do it

  1. Paste the sale facts. Copy the addresses, sale prices, and days on market from your MLS sheet. Drop them into the chat window with any quick notes about the area. Keep the raw facts simple.
  2. Set the tone. Paste one previous message you sent to past clients so AI sees how you talk. Tell AI to write like a neighbor sharing news, not a sales pitch. AI studies your style before it writes.
  3. Let AI draft the note. Ask AI to turn the sales list into a short note. AI drafts a friendly update with the main price trends and street news. It stops when the draft is ready for you.
  4. Read and fix the text. Read the draft out loud. Fix any price details, swap in words you actually use, and delete anything that sounds stiff. You make the final copy sound like you.

What to type first

I pasted the last three home sales in Maple Ridge and a short note about the new park. Write a three-paragraph update email for past clients who live there. Keep the tone warm and direct, like my past email sample. Do not include sales hype, and do not send anything.

Change the words to match your business. AI follows what you say, so say what done looks like.

Before you trust it

Try pasting notes from an open house to draft a quick follow-up to the neighbors who stopped by.
