Write social media posts with AI, for nonprofits

You stare at an empty text box after an event, trying to find the words donors and neighbors want to see. AI reads your rough notes or photo description, then drafts the updates for each page you run.

What to gather first

Which app

For this one, a plain AI chat window is enough. Open the chat, paste what you gathered, and type the message below.

How to do it

  1. Paste your past posts. Open a chat with AI on your laptop. Paste in two updates you shared before that felt right. AI reads them to pick up how you talk to donors and volunteers.
  2. Add today's news. Type three raw sentences about what happened today, or upload the photo you took. Add where you want people to go, like your signup page or donation form. Do not worry about spelling or polish yet.
  3. Ask for the drafts. Send your prompt asking for short drafts for each place you post. AI reads your material and drafts plain text options. It gives you room to pick what fits.
  4. Fix the voice and post. Read through the options and change any phrase that sounds strange. Cut words you would never say to a supporter. Copy your finished version over and share it yourself.

What to type first

Here are two past updates from our organization and a quick note about our food pantry shift this morning. Draft one short update for our supporters, one conversational post for community members, and one photo caption. Match the warm tone in our past examples. Do not invent any names, facts, or statistics, and do not send anything out.

Change the words to match your business. AI follows what you say, so say what done looks like.

Before you trust it

Paste in an entire volunteer email update to turn it into a week of short community notes.
