Explain a plan in plain words with AI, for financial advisors
You spend evenings rewriting asset allocations and trust terms into plain English so your clients understand their options. AI drafts that plain-spoken summary from your notes while you take a breath.
What to gather first
- Your rough meeting notes
- The dense plan summary page
- Two plain emails you liked sending
Which app
For this one, a plain AI chat window is enough. Open the chat, paste what you gathered, and type the message below.
How to do it
- Paste your plan notes. Open your AI chat window on your screen. Drop in the list of funds, account moves, and dates you mapped out for the client. Strip out account numbers and the client's full name first.
- Add your voice sample. Copy in an email you wrote to a client when you were not rushed. This gives AI your rhythm and tone. AI reads your sentences to match how you explain money.
- Ask for a client summary. Send your prompt into the chat. AI reads the details, strips the jargon, and drafts a clean overview for the kitchen table. It lists what is happening and why.
- Read and fix the facts. Scan every sentence against your plan. Fix any fund name that changed or any step AI framed backwards. You approve every word before it goes to the client.
What to type first
Here are my notes from today's client meeting and the rough plan outline. I also pasted an old email showing how I speak. Write a one-page summary the client can read at home without getting confused. Use short sentences and simple words. Do not give direct tax advice, and do not send anything.
Change the words to match your business. AI follows what you say, so say what done looks like.
Before you trust it
- Check that every account type matches what you agreed on in the meeting.
- Make sure the timeline of transfers reflects your real calendar.
- Read the draft out loud to catch any stiff phrases that do not sound like you.
Try using AI to turn your quarterly review notes into quick recap notes after each call.
