Write product descriptions with AI, for retail stores

Writing descriptions for new stock takes your evenings when you would rather be off your feet. AI reads your rough notes and pictures, then drafts the shelf tags and web listings for you to edit.

What to gather first

Which app

For this one, a plain AI chat window is enough. Open the chat, paste what you gathered, and type the message below.

How to do it

  1. Snap the item and details. Take a photo of the item on a plain counter. Capture the fabric tag, maker card, or box specs so AI can read them. Drop the image straight into your chat.
  2. Paste your tone and facts. Copy in a few product descriptions you already like from your shop. Add bullet points for color, dimensions, and materials. Tell AI who shops for this in your store.
  3. Review the drafts. AI drafts a short paragraph for your shelves and a longer listing for your online store. Read through the text to see how it grouped the facts. Cut any claims that do not fit your brand.
  4. Post to your shelves. Copy the text you like directly into your shop catalog. Print the short version on cardstock for the floor display. Put the original notes back in the stockroom.

What to type first

Here is a photo of a new item arriving this week, plus my rough notes on size and materials. I also pasted two descriptions from my site so you know how I talk to my customers. Draft one short shelf card and one web listing using only these facts. Do not invent details, and do not publish anything.

Change the words to match your business. AI follows what you say, so say what done looks like.

Before you trust it

Paste photos of your whole seasonal delivery to get drafts for the entire rack at once.
